Next Auction: School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, May 7th
We're pleased to announce our next auction will be for the Sarasota County, Florida School Board on May 7th at the regular Myrtle St. Warehouse location. Visit http://holzmanauctioneers.com/auctions.html for auction details.

Due to construction at Booker High School, our space for auction vehicles is limited- but we still need to move 18 buses, a pickup, cargo van and 2 Ford Windstar passenger vans! So we will be selling a number of the buses from photos only. These buses may be previewed and will have to be picked up by the buyers at the Transportation Department.

We'll have more details soon, but the important thing to note is that with ALL vehicles at this sale, whether located at Myrtle or at the Transportation Department, will have to be removed by the buyers within 48 hours or they will be impounded. Impounded vehicles will incur towing, storage and impound fees that must be paid directly to the towing company before they will be released. So be sure to have your removal plans in place. We will be providing more info on removal and available towing services the week of the auction, so be sure to watch your e-mail for updates.

In addition to the regular assortment of great surplus, many of you will be happy to hear we will have a large selection of food service equipment at this sale! Speaking of preliminary photos, as many of you know, we usually do not have photos of the landscaping equipment, golf carts and other miscellaneous items from Facilities included in our preliminary photo gallery. We will have this type of equipment at this sale, and will post photos by the Friday evening before the sale.

Appearing fashionably late to the Facebook scene, we finally jumped on the bandwagon and put up a Fan Page on the Facebook that's so popular with the kids these days. If you're on Facebook, we'd love to have you as one of our "Fans". Because it's a "Fan" page and not a profile, you're privacy is assured- our posts will show up in your News Feed (assuming you don't block us), but we won't be able to view anything about you that isn't set to be publicly visible. So head on over to http://www.facebook.com/HolzmanAuctioneers and hit the "Like" button. You never know what cool stuff we might post there!

New Website Feature: Mailing List Signup / Auction Pre-registration
We've added a form on our website that allows you to sign up for our e-mail list, pre-register for our next auction, "Go Green" (see below), give us your latest contact info or send us comments. Just visit our website and click the "Sign Up" link at the top or bottom of any page, or go there directly using this link: http://holzmanauctioneers.com/signup.html . If you're planning on coming to our next auction, you can speed up your registration by filling out the form completely and checking the "Pre-Register" checkbox. If you do this by the Wednesday before the auction, we'll be sure to have a pre-filled registration form ready for you to sign. Just let the registration staff know you pre-registered, show your picture ID and sign the form to receive your bidder card.

Celebrating Earth Day: Go Green with Holzman ePostcards!
In celebration of Earth Day, we're asking all of our e-mail list subscribers to "opt-out" of the traditional printed postcard and flyer notifications we send via "snail-mail". To encourage this, we'll be e-mailing an electronic version of the postcard, so you won't be missing out on anything- and you'll get it days before anyone sees one in their mailbox.

Even if you haven't received a postcard or flyer from us in a while or ever, and you're already on our e-mail list, please use the signup form at http://holzmanauctioneers.com/signup.html to give us your name, e-mail address and mailing address, and be sure to check the "Go Green!" checkbox near the bottom. When you do, we'll mark you in our system as "Green" and remove you from our postal mailing list. Not only will you be helping the planet, but we'll put you in our system before auction day, saving the cashier data-entry time and speeding up the checkout process for everyone.
